The following terms and conditions of Megaboom City Hotel is applicable to all guests.
If booking via a Travel Agent please also refer to their individual terms and conditions.

Payment options
Prices listed include GST. Payments can be made by credit card (Visa and Mastercard only). Please note that all credit card payments will have an additional charge of 2% of the total invoice. Prices quoted are in AUD and all payments must be made in AUD.


Online Bookings Payment
A valid credit card is required to complete the booking process online. You will be charged the full amount seven days prior to your check-in date. Please note that Megaboom City Hotel does not accept cash payments.

Guest Identification
In addition to the credit card imprint, guests will be required to present a valid credit card upon check-in along with a valid form of identification (e.g. passport, driver’s license, etc.) to hotel reception for security purposes.


Refund Policy
The hotel maintains a no refund policy for all non refundable room types, however matters can be forwarded in writing to Management for review.

Cancellation Policy
There will be no fee if a booking is cancelled up to 7 days prior to your scheduled check-in time. However, a full amount will incur if a booking is cancelled within 7 days prior to your scheduled check-in time. This will be taken from the credit card details provided at the time of booking.


No Shows/Modifications
In the event of a no-show and you do not show up for your booking or terminate your booking early after you have checked in you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee which is equal to the full amount of your booking which you have already paid.
Should you wish to modify or change your booking to an alternative time or date, contact must made with Megaboom City Hotel no less than 7 days  before your scheduled check-in time. Please note that bookings cannot be modified online. Modifications of booking can only be made by calling (02) 9996 8888 or sending a detailed email to together with a copy of the original confirmation email. No guarantee can be given requested date/time.


Check In and Check Out Times
Check-in time is after 2 PM and check-out time is before 10 AM. If you require a later check-out, please contact reception at (02) 99968888 before 10 AM at least one day before your departure date, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, a charge may apply, depending on availability. Late Checkouts are available until 1PM for an additional charge. Please ask when making your booking or enquire with Reception for further details. separate room. Please check the individual room policy for more details.

A credit card (Visa and Mastercard) security deposit of AUD $100 is required upon check-in for charges or damages during the stay and will be refunded upon departure. All occupants of a room/group booking are jointly and severally responsible for payment of all breakages and cost of repairing all damage caused to the room that they are registered in (or in the event of a group booking, the total rooms booked by the group). You are responsible for the conduct of all visitors in your room - please ensure your visitors abide by the Hotel's House Rules. If an occupant's room is not maintained to acceptable hotel standards of cleanliness and tidiness, and in an orderly manner, the hotel has the right to impose an extra cleaning charge.

No Pet/s Policy
Please note that all pets are prohibited on property (a fine of $300.00 will be applied to the bill if a pet is discovered).

No Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited in all public areas of the hotel and guest rooms (a $300.00 fine will be applied for smoking inside the hotel’s premises). Please note that the guest/s will be fully responsible for any expense or charges applied due to smoking.


No In-Room Party Policy
Our hotel enforces a NO IN-ROOM PARTY POLICY to ensure we can protect the hotel and our guests at all times. In the event of a disturbance one warning will be given to reduce noise. If this warning is not followed, the guest will forfeit all fees.


Children and Extra Beds
Infant 0-3 year(s) can stay for free if using existing bedding. Please note that cot is not provided in the hotel, however, guests are welcome to bring their own cot. Children over 3-12 years will be charge as additional person. Guests over 12 years are considered as adults and is required to have a separate room. Please check the individual room policy for more details.


The Megaboom City Hotel accepts to hold your luggage whenever your room is not ready during your arrival and until 5PM on the day that you have checked out. However, please note that the hotel is not responsible for the loss and/or damage of any items contained in your luggage.

Service of Rooms
Our housekeeping staff will make your bed every day, however, please be informed that your sheets will only be changed if necessary.  For all guests staying longer than 7 days, your sheets will be changed on the 8th day.  If you require your sheets to be changed prior to this, please contact Reception who will gladly assist.


Car Park (offsite)
Please note that Megaboom City Hotel does not have an onsite car park. However, parking is available at QVB building with entry and exit via York Street, Sydney 2000 NSW. For further details, please visit

Laundry Facility (offsite)
Please note that Megaboom City Hotel does not have an onsite Laundry Facility. Laundry service is available at City Laundry and Dry Cleaning on 289-295 Sussex Street. It is only 5 minutes' walk from the hotel via York Street and Druitt Street.


Special Requests
Whilst we attempt to satisfy all special requests (e.g. high floor/low floor, city view, rooms next to each other, etc.) we cannot guarantee that these requests can be granted as it depends on the rooms' availability.


Guests under 18 Years Old
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an individual over the age of 18. Megaboom City Hotel has the right to refuse any booking when the legal guardian over 18, or the intending registered guest, cannot provide current photo ID if requested.


Registration and Visitor Policy
Only registered occupants of a room at the hotel are permitted to be in that room between 7PM and 9AM, please note that the hotel will an implement a NO VISITORS policy during this period. Visitors who do not vacate at the request of management will be deemed to be trespassing.
